I am expecting 300 but i will exit 90% position at 188 and review the chart again
300?/ that's...brave. Either way, GL, thanks for sharing your chart.
 Monthly is very bullish
Attemping gamma run to 2.00 for Friday option expiry. Could happen.
not sure about 2.0, more confidence in 190 tbh
agree 100%. Would be fun to see what happens to the short dated options either way
Not a fan of options, but opened a long on Dec contract yesterday at 183, and will add more slowly. Depending ;) GL
Out of longs at 183 ( average 190 at loss )  and opened shorts at the same price for 173.  Changing plans, no more longs for me at this prices  GL
Don’t, the charts are drawing a coffee bean with their movements. You know what that means!
no stop loss? Big move to carry...there's an air pocket to 190 on the volume profile, could get there without much resistance
Gosh…..that will go freakin bullish again ? When Sam say up is down and reverse lol
Target?
Up and down.
Pin 190 or 200 for option expory friday. Small chance if scare above 2 to run gamma
REDITT ALERT .....TARGET 300 +
Buy for Target 200+
iam bullish again
I don't want to be unfair. For Sam Houston and his shorties a possible short set up out of the book "Trading for dummies" First Short 188 (=38% Fib), second short 193 (=50% Fib), SL above 201, TP 168
Looking for ShortDude. We miss you.
he gonna say already closed sp
Very quiet alright
I hesitated a lot to put this phrase because it might anger some, but for the sake of honesty of the information, I have to write it "the price of arabica coffee in march 2022 will be above 320 " (IT'S BEEN BOOKED ALREADY)
What is being talked about now about coffee are all very bad scenarios of drought, frost, tree pruning or replanting, and that production will not return to what it was, until after three years. It gives an indication that coffee is on strong heights far from here, For those who want to benefit and take advantage of the price correction Do not reverse the main trend, just replace the profit-taking positions at better prices
Sugar 6% up yesterday. Is coffee much more resilient tree than sugar cane?
As per what I read, sugar will have bad consequences by drought and in july its quotation wasn't too affected by fear/effects of frost.
Good morning, get more information, coffee plants take more than 3 years to reach the productivity before the frost.
The flower buds are coming with force. Hope it rains otherwise...
I am out for this year but seeing how Sam Houston desperately tries to beat the market and ignoring all obvious signs is always worth a visit here :D
another sp 182... in addition to 178 and 176.2
I'm not random )) if that's what ur asking
fair enough, genuiely curious...we'll end up taking each other money, but we can chat. I'm about to go long. Indicators, yeah...but I'm refering to price action only.
 haha, no...but puzzled :))
Sept contract price is now solidely above the 50% retracement lvl (178.3) of the last move up (150 to 210). It might act as support going forward...which would be another bullish sign.to what I posted yesterday for those interested.  Bullish signs are winning over bearish ones on the TA side...nothing is ever 100% though. Bit of a pullback would be healtly, could help sam and short buddy close their shorts at breakeven....
As a roaster and buyer, the C is not a reality in my world. If someone is buying coffee at the C it is junk. The quality is not what I look for. I only care about the differentials and how the C effects that.
Fair price for arabica seems to be a not existing thing. The look at the long term chart proves it immediately. ICO uses 135 as a median price in its report data, the summation of 2001 low and 2011 high, divided by two, will give roughly 175.  But whatever those numbers represent, it seems highly unlikely they are going to help someone to trade with more success...
It's not up to us, traders, to define what's fair or not - that's not measurable, it will depend on one's experience. We can assume a price as a median level, or standard for a given period, and work with variations around that. But it will never be an absolute number, nor a consensual one, that's for sure...
 100%
Tea price will also increase this week
where is ShortDude?
I don't hear the yapping!
we may see cofee price above 200 this week or next week
In a Live yesterday in Brazil, professional agronomists, teachers comment, after on-site visit in regions affected by frost, losses in the order of 300k hectares and 10/12 M bags, only for 2022.
Consider the increase in consumption of average of 2% in recent years, in addition to the minimum time needed to start producing a coffee tree, around 2.5 years, regardless of the country in which it is planted. The 10/12 M bags are almost a Colombian vintage and it does not seem that any country will continue to replenish this amount in less than 2.5 years, is not a simple equation.
do you really think the average of the last 10 years is the middle value between the lowest and the highest peak? (86+306)/2?....thumbs up for the rest of your comment though...
guys - past perfromance is no indication of future performance. Coffee is volatile but can sit quietly doing nothing for long periods. The combination of drought, frost and the lower part of the biennial cycle mean that the market will be in deficit by November 2021. What this means in terms of the price? Who on earth knows? In October last years stocks fell to 25 year lows, but the price didnt move.  The sudden jump is all about fund buying. Longs will eventually unwind. I am long, and hoping for 2.80 by November. If I am wrong, I lose big time. Its more fun than DOGE
uh oh https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/brazil-faces-10m-bag-loss-coffee-preliminary-assessment "A formal damage report of Brazil's coffee belt is due in the coming weeks. The government report is set to show up to ten million bags (each bag weighing 132 pounds) of arabica coffee, or one-third of annual purchases by the U.S. may have been damaged."
This cannot go up bcs of too short maturity...
Emily Lee Spot price doesn't expire
Frost is a variable that is part of the price equation, some have not considered, a very serious error.
the coffee trade was living in a paradigm*
Classic move... It will up
