🔥‼️only in last 30 days, Lira devaluated 10% against $. Turkish people became poorer another 10%. No effort- no attempt from Turkish gov, nobody cares-nobody talks on devaluation. 12 level will be coming early before end of Q1,2022.

If you observe thru the years you will realise the big lira price moves were rarely from the rate cut or rise , but the drama that precedes it ( sacking of central bankers / comments here and there ) etc.. its already dropped 3% last 7 days without any cut in rates ,, after they cut it might spike 1% , flatten out , or even fall !

Mat Mat Back in Aug 2018 the lira dropped 45% in 1 month ( moving from 4.95 to 7.25 ) all because of a verbal scuffle with crazy Trump,,, nothing really happened, no sanctions, no rate cuts,, and it couldn't recover that lost ground again,, seems like a  waste of a verbal fight !

People are programmed to sell the lira when the interest is low and the central bank understands the game. All the profits that investors have won will lose them at 21.10 and then the price will quickly return to normal, less than 8.80 or less

I dont know, i think he’s really frustrated with all CB heads ,, he’s probably thinking if 2 years ago when usdtry was at 4.5 had they cut rates aggresively , usdtry could have also reached 9 today but at least with lower rates the economy could have accelerated better ,,who knows , needs lots of time to repair this mess now ..

‼️according to my Turkish suppliers, the fair value for $/Lira is 12. They already accepted this level in their calculations. This is needed for their growing and protecting salary levels according to real inflation in the market.TR gov announced inflation as 18, but nobody believes it. Current inflation in TR is starting from 50% and above for many things.🧨🔥
