According to my forecast there are 2 scenarios first one that I highly recommend is that we should see 13-14 this month (may18) or there's another scenario to see the 13-14 at oct18

What were the main drivers behind the recent drop and how much of that had to do with the strength on the US $$ as opposed to the decisions taken by the Gov. to comply with the IMF measures? As you’re aware we saw the major world currencies losing ground to the US $$ in a big way in the last 2-3wks, did we see the same impact on the EGP? r.r.r.r.Do we see the pound going lower than 18 and do we expect the central bank to intervene at one point to support the EGP?

About $45 billion of currency options on the euro-dollar exchange rate are expiring in the three days leading up to the annual central banking symposium in Jackson Hole next week.. While the spike in the quantum of options struck is not unusual by this year's standards with $23 billion of currency options alone expiring on Thursday, it is certainly unusual by August standards on a historical basis, according to Thomson Reuters data stretching back for the last two years.. On Thursday, the euro was on track for its biggest single day decline against the dollar after European Central Bank minutes of its last policy meeting in July showed officials warning about a possible market overshoot after six months of gains.

From my modesty point of view that the central bank is a professional commercial association...And when it had to provide dollars as a startegic stock ...They bought one dollar from foreigners for 19...20 LE and invest this 20 LE as treasury bills for 15.75% for those foreigners..In addition to 20% CD..So simply it will trade in dollars to compensate this rates by pulling the dollar down gradually for a while till around 16 LE then sharply till around 13 LE then a little pit up to 14 to opligat Egyptian abroad to sell dollars for 14LE and also to ****the black market...

Hello Mr, Mohammed .... Don't seek the answer you want or like :) the black market is already out of the game for 6 days now the market is over saturated and USD is ready to go down ... the only thing holding it up is the the fixed rates in the banks above 18 to put pressure on Omra market & importers & the black market . but in the end it will turn with a very slow rate .

@ Ahmed for me, the answer which I like is that the USD go down since I am an importer :D.. But according to the disturbanceI can import anything.. And as I told you while checking many forecasting websites according to their analysis it is said that the USD is going up, So I am now confused.
