  • Apparently Intel is outsourcing its intel4 process to tsmc lol, they still have significant yield issues. The saga goes on, and is repeating. RIP. This will be a another step margin bleed.

    • If this should appear to be true, Intel basically lost the rest credibility they still had, if there was any at all. Everybody already knew before that 4 nodes in 4 years is just unbelieveable. But this move literally confirms what a lot of people were already expecting. Its pretty bad.

        • Chip shortages expected to continue for 24 moths which will keep chip prices elevated. Intel well positioned to ride chip boom.Think about it Nividia signed deal with intel fabs for supplies. Intel position to outperform chip sector fab model changing geopolitics strategic industry first inline for state support means intel stock will jump in a risk on environment

          • What “signed” Nvidia deal. There’s no such deal. Source? And don’t just link to speculation
            1
          • Let him dream. Apart from that, Nvidia would only be interested in driving prices down due to firing up foundry competition. But margins on top nodes from production on non-asian soil like the usa are already much less competitive. IDM2, what a dilemma :> IDM2 will certainly not be the redeemer for Intel as you are pronouncing it. And as always with Intel, it comes once again, too late to the game. The train already left the train station.
