Then market is due for another wave of retracement, downwards. Don’t be a silly one to buy now. It’s too expensive....

The Japanese Market has a tendency to move in in tandem with the US markets. Seth Klarman's warning of the state of the economy is a tell tale sign of things on the horizon.

"Margin of Safety" writer, "Oracle of Boston" Klarman?? Interesting. So why is the Nikkei up?? Ugh. I'm effectively short the Nikkei. And I don't see how a country of liars (or more politely "face savers") that features a ridiculously massive amount of government debt (relative to GDP), a shrinking and rapidly aging population is a better bet than the Nasdaq! The Nikkei is actually up when the Nasdaq has tanked 2%. Sigh.

The real question is: How low will the market go? Could the Nikkei go below 10,000 again? Sure it could. How long will it take? Six months, one year?

It looks a lot like the rallying was just a dead cat bounce in a bear market.

Total U.S. debt is about $21.9 trillion, of which $16 trillion is owed by the public. The sustained annual U.S. deficit is now believed to be more than $1 trillion

Medi Anto   Different figures may be due to the time difference between the USA and Asia, but I'm not sure.  If anyone knows, please post it here.

Medi Anto   There are 2 nikkei 225 N225 which is the tokyo exchange and JP225 which is the CFD derivatives exchange.  The CFD exchange tends to sell at about 150 point discount to the Tokyo exchange, although since it is a derivative things like volatility impact the cfd exchange  that the true index doesn't have to worry about.  I could be wrong on that since In the US we are forbidden from trading CFD's so I haven't spent much time learning about them other than as a passing instrument.

Greg Greg . . No this is not a CFD.  . The Nikkei 225 quote in the USA Markets is currently -115 points, whereas, the quote in the Japan Markets is -260 Points. .  Does anyone know why there is such a huge difference? .  Thanks.
