V shaped recovery on the cards. This pair is subject to the new variant news. Better to be long and hold - than to take the risk to short. This is the week - where the new variant news comes back. All across the globe the news is full of the new variant making its roads into the other countries.  Entered a BIG long at the current level. This is fundamentally driver. Any amateur will use Technical analysis in this.

Update: Fed Powell hinted at faster than expected bond purchase tapering, and this has stoked fears that the Fed may have to raise interest rates more aggressively than anticipated to stave off sticky inflation (along with rendering antiquated the word "transitory" to describe current inflationary pressures ) which has evoked memories of 1970's style inflation. ADP Employment Change NOV came in below expectations, we are looking at a heightened probability of a subpar NFP print this Friday. Unless there are more risk-off headline grabbing news, this will most likely sink to 15.6375 to 15.4897 within the next few trading days. There's also high impact news next week...

Fundamentals or Fundamental analysis isn't helpful in FX trading, and the reason why is because FX market makers or the people who control the FX market take the price of FX pairs to whatever price level they want. Sometimes they don't have a specific reason for doing this except because that's where the most liquidity and most traders are trading, sometimes they do have a specific reason and this week they do have a specific reason. In light of what's happening in South Africa this week and in light of a likely positive NFP number for the US on Friday, the market makers know that the USD has to get stronger, which means that the USDZAR also has to go up and they are going to take assets to the price they should be because if they don't then traders are going to think that the FX market is a complete scam and leave it. But before they take USDZAR up, they are bear-trapping or collecting short positions so they can make a lot of money when they later take the price of USDZAR up.

Made very small lost on buy but quick switch to sell regain back my money. This is the days where you think it goes in certain direction but bluffing you with bull card in bear hand. Reason is that why I have to keep my eye on the ball.

True, this is the reason why you have to have the correct lot size for black swan events like stop-hunting/whipsawing/price manipulation and start swing trading USDZAR using the higher time-frames. In instruments like USDZAR that always produces strong buy and sell trends, you will lose a money if you don't follow the above recommendations. In instruments that trade in a range and almost never trend like major Forex pairs for example, you don't have to worry about losing you can scalp trade and go full lot size with these kind of instruments, but you can't do this with instruments like the USDZAR and other instruments that always produces strong trends.

Yes but USD/ZAR is unpredictable doesn't matter if you look at instruments or news. Some where there is twist in the road ahead. Reason for this Bull jump from 15.88 to 15.98 is that unpredictable turn. Try to see in news where did this come from. Nevertheless I made comeback on Sell and close on 15.90. Now I thinking what to do with my long-term Buy from 14.23 must I close it or hold and see until next Friday or next week before I go on holiday.

For me 16.00 could be the level to watch carefully for bull and bear if it break (which I don't recommend) this pair would broke the bottom and if it reverse from here we might go much higher

It's looking like it will technically go down to 15.8775. Wouldn't feel comfortable going long on ZAR until the Omicron heebie-jeebies are out of the market. Looking to buy at 15.8775 and sell at 16.5000. Fed Powell speech today, along with NFP this week should keep losses limited if Powell continues to be hawkish about tapering, and if NFP numbers are healthy (ADP NOV Employment Change expected to increase preliminarily). All in all, this is a buying opportunity on a monthly pivot point, that is fundamentally slanted to the upside, and technically oversold (limited retracements).

Long term, the omicron variant could destabilize the Rand by way of reduced tourism and direct foreign investment. Apparently, there is also a labor strike pertaining to a major gold mining company (Sibanye-Stillwater). This could cause a ripple effect in the gold mining industry (due to higher wages and better working conditions across the board for miners). This may reduce SA's current account and their exports. Iron ore prices are helping to bolster the rand, along with the WHO director indemnifying the treatment of SA for being transparent (investors took note of this and it has sparked a mild risk on).
