Canada have extreme housing bubble which started to inflate since April....Houses prices down over 20% in some areas and more in others...BOC did only one rate hike, oil is hopeless, CDN exports is still not good despite weak loonie for years, might be good to buy the dips

Takeatradeonline.com has been long in the CAD for awhile. It should benefit from a run up in Crude. We're also long on crude. ..TAT Online is recommending a long entry (please refer to TAT recommendations for a specific entry point) in Crude Oil (@CL) based on several setup factors including:. . * Small speculators being extremely bearish (which means smart traders should be thinking the opposite). . * Seasonal pattern strongly to the upside. . * Favorable chart structure. . * New bullish short term trend. . For the rest of our current trade recommendations and market entry points please visit takeatradeonline.com.. First 30 days trading picks are free.

Canadian Dollar, Oil Post Parallel Losing Streaks to Start 2016..The parallel reaction between the Canadian Dollar and crude oil is likely due to the commodity being Canada’s top source of export revenue. The negative affect of the oil rout on the economy was noted in the Bank of Canada’s policy report in December. This means what while there is no high-level economic news coming from Canada this week, USDCAD may still find volatility as prices mirror crude oil’s response to swings in risk appetite.

Does anyone have any advice on when I should convert Canadian dollars to US (I have to do this) my question is given projections of a falling loonie, the June effect, the expected June 4th Bank of Canada announcement etc when do you think I should do the conversion...in other words do you think our dollar will go up higher than 92US before the end of May

Bill I am no expert but I offer you something to look at and make a decision on your own. First you are on this site so bring up the chart CAD/USD. Use candles if you all ready don't. Now I want you to look at the weekly chart and scroll back to 2007. I just looked so it is fresh in my mind. I see back in 2009 that our dollar had started to make the move higher. Now look how the price of the loonie is at this level again. I think if the Canadian dollar breaks below .77 we are going lower. My guess is that we don't break below but rather brake above and move higher. This should also indicate that the US markets should fall so good time to be watching for shorts. Just my opinion. Take a look and see what you think. Canadian price is at .817 there abouts when I last looked. Hope this helps.
