Chinese sending the 15% tariff on autos to a vote will most likely go the way XI wants which is t 15%. Somewhere the US has to step in with Canada and get the Chinese CFO released on bond for a future hearing. Should happen this week. The BIG News this morning, Whole good consumer prices only rose .1% last month which means inflation is steady, or neutral. For the first time I no longer believe the fed will raise rates next week. I think they will take a pause and see what the first quarter of 2019 brings. This could be a monumental upswing in the markets.

The Fed's reason to raise rate these days is not to fight inflation. They want to stock up ammo in order to fight the recession that is likely coming in 2019 or 2020

You are both right - but there is another very practical consideration. The fed is partially hamstrung by the neccesity to keep rates in the lower range if possible. Tha US debt servicing cant afford to pay above 4% on our debt - it would break the bank and cause superinflation - higher rates then economic collapse.

Big range from 2800 to 2600 the past several weeks...we're back at the bottom of the range. Doesn't take a genius to follow the pattern. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

well not long but SPY calls for Friday expiration. Still holding onto QQQ puts entered at 6680 on NQ for monthly opex. Letting both run and won't make any more moves until Wednesday at least.

Sure it can crash but looking at the chart and the futures..... indicate that if 2630 holds we are going a bit sideways and up........

Market can crash at any time any day, even on weekends. I am buying today and going with a 2 maybe 3 day rally. Don't want to be in next week when the FED jacks the interest rate again.
