At this stage it’s a binary setup. I still believe it’s a long term hold, but it makes more sense to sell for now and buy back after the report. The risk is too high and the stock is currently priced on optimism, so any weakness could see it get crushed. GLTAH

Can someone explain me why Intel is a good investment? Market cap of more than 300 billion but not the revenue/profit to back it up. Or am I missing something?

The current numbers may not look good. But let's understand the future a little , Trump has forced American companies to incorporate Intel products into their own companies and replace components from outside America.

also .. there are only 3 companies that make the high-end chips... TSMC, samsung and intel .. and no .. AMD and nvidia do not make chips .. they only design the chips. Now .. the only western company of those 3 is intel - and in a world where we no longer rely on other parts of the world .. well its not about price anymore its about getting chips. Just imagaine that China blocks taiwan (and TSMC) .. apple and others would go broke..... the choice of intel is just a must at least as a back-up !!! trump have seen this .. and america need chips for army and all compnies to function ..
