God bless! Yes. I believe the soybean market is oversold. Both Trump and China - throwing their ACE cards before coming to the negotiation table. China is in critical need of US soybeans. US farmers would make significant acreage adjustment = reduce planting of soybeans and switch more to corns. That would be price supportive in the short run. And US soy farmers are patriots. They would not sell their beans at such low prices to China. Eventually, US would develop and penetrate new markets for their beans. And price would then sky rocket! It would then be another win for Donald Trump in his year 2020 presidential re-election campaign. God bless America!

chris. it is very clear you are not a farmer. also very clear you have no clue what you are talking about. a farmer will sell to who evercpay the highest price during these times to keep food on the table. the chinese soy farmer who purchase beans are paying the 25% tariff. new trade route are already open, and South america buys our beans and delivers to china. soy prices will never gonup until the tariff is lifted. china doesnt need our bean. South America has a better quality bean with higher protein than ours and china was already making the shift to purchase more and more from SA a few years before the tariffs. plus with the Swine Flu epidemic in China, the certainly dont need any of ours for that reason as well. Donald Trump has screwed the American Farmer for atleast 5 years, if not more. Trump is not the greatest.

IMO I am Pessimistic beans but still hopeful. I think the 5MMT of beans China has bought is a great gesture but those bushels are easily cancelled if tariffs are raised, I think they have delivery dates in the April-June area, which coincides with South American exports. The US is pushing intellectual rights to end tariffs on a country that doesn't culturally recognize intellectual rights... Im just gonna get some April OTM soybean puts and go from there...

China is buying South American soybeans with a 20% discount.. since buyers follow CBOT prices, and they do not have to pay US tariffs.

..... both US & China would shake hands = China would buy more agricultural, energy & industrial products from US = to reduce US trade deficit = USD would remain strong = further weakening in Chinese Yuan due to monetary easing in China to support its domestic economy.
