It may be ironic, but while banks are extremely leveraged, this is a less leveraged company that continues to generate acceptable returns.

These rules—which I realize must be followed as basic accounting principles—compound the problems related to patents and commercial competition. This can get very tedious, but it’s the reality, and a dose of reality has never hurt us.

What is keeping Pfizer's stock price low is the major pending legal case, in addition to other expenses and costs that are expected to arise in the future and need to be budgeted for.
