I agree. But it is going very slowly and may have some up and down movement to get there. I think it will happen on May 21 or 22.

This will be slow for at least a week. There is no significant news that will impact either currency. The daily, weekly, monthly is still strong down due to planned Federal Reserve interest rate increases this year. Little ups and downs will continue but longer term trend will be down for a while.

Even if it goes to 7000-7100 over a few coming weeks, longterm target is still below 6800. Trade . accordingly and good luck.

I think it will hit a supply zone at 69300 and turn back down again. This current rally is a trap. I let about half of my shorts go last night but will likely pick them back when the 30 minute trend turns down again.

the only problem for NZD is weak inflation all other fundamental indicators are in a good shape. with oil prices reaching 80$ a barrel, I am expecting strong rebound in NZ's CPI. Definitely not a sell here...

Shorting since the jump to 6900, tp at  6850 and if that breaks then 6820-6830. Still don't see a case for going long. Althought situation can change if Fed decides not to raise interest rates in june.

Robert Jay It looks like it is starting the slide down.  I could see on the 4 hour trend that it seems to have about  a 5 day cycle from bottom to top and back down.

It was likely due to some very large institutional sell orders that came out after the NZD budget was released at 10pm EST.

I was joking about the volcano. But the price shot up like a volcano. Hoping it relieved the supply pressures that have caused the price to retrace upward so strongly.

There was a supply zone at .69379 from May 14.  I am hoping that it hold there and then drops over the next day or so to .6826 before another retracement.

This is the bump I was talking about and the reason we stopped for a time. 50% Fib of the big trend  from 01.09.2015. I still think we will overcome it, but some persistent bull movement  can appear right here.. My targets below are 6820, 6800 and 6780. Return above 7000 may suggest buyers are taking control.

I had planned to let it go to 6842 and take profit with anticipation that it would retrace up to around 6900. I got out when I saw it continuing to go back up . But then found  a 5 minute zone to enter in shorting again. Hoping it goes to 6844 as planned and then it should retrace again. We will see.

look at the revised numbers, retail published last month were wrong,  they were much stronger, and seems like this months figures are ignored. Expecting a bump up between 6850 and 6865, I will add short there

I am hoping for some good US retail news at 8:30. It could really add some energy going down for the day. On the other hand, if it doesnt exceed forecasts, it is still good for shorts for a while. Just my slow it for a day or two.
