Let us know when you have watched it for years not months, This selling trend caused by US Fed monetary policy tightening won't last forever, and if you  don't pay attention to what else is going on, you will get overconfident and lose all of  the earnings. Just sharing my experience and trying to help.

Good thing nzd is finally putting up a fight and we know there are buyers starting to show interest in it. Flag formation in play and the breakout should provide us with the direction for the day. Fed minutes today but I really want to know what's rbnz stance at the moment.

A new high @ .6595 from the 8th October (morning star on daily?) low at .6425 . Subsequent pullback to 50% Fib from last leg down seems to be holding, so far, above .6560 with a second cluster of support from .6530 down to .65. The key, in my humble opinion, is a close above .66150 and break of channel resistance from April high.

Seems about right but I would still advise caution around 6630-6640. Sellers may hit the trigger there.. https://invst.ly/8vev5.

immo_PL  Thanks for the thoughts you two.  Will keep an eye on these levels.  I was thinking about this whole inflationary story Q4 17 was 0.1.  Given where things are heading I would think Q4 18 will be at least 1.1.  This takes it to 2.9.  Q1 18 was 0.5.  Another figure Q1 19 and there at 3.4%.  This is what one might think of as out of control.....  This changes the whole picture re RBNZ if not today certainly tomorrow....

Anyone interested in buying, check nzd/jpy chart. There is a beautiful range to trade there, closed with reversed H&S pattern on the bottom and tripple top above. Good luck.

I would, if I were you, be careful in shorting this rise with weakening data in the US and rising inflationary pressures in NZ I would see this level as at a glance looking like it will pay going long.  Perhaps  in the ratio of 4 or 5:1.

US retail sales on top of inflation last week aren’t really paintings a picture or a surging economy.  Let’s see where inflation comes in in NZ.  Key data...

the implication around fuel and ccy is that Q4 will go well over 1.  RBNZ will be forced to change their rhetoric.  I am calling it.  This is the end of the beginning.....

Petrol was already 3.3% over the quarters average on 30/9 and a new fuel tax commenced on 1/10.  This is a one way ticket to rate rises.

It has more room to go up, and now broadening wedge is in play, however I believe the weakness in usd is only temporary and it's not yet time to buy, hold, forget.

If this is the Gartley pattern forming, Nzd should hit at least 6630 before selling resumes, CPI reading in the way. https://invst.ly/8vev5.Another quick buy signal is generated by daily MACD and we are still in a rising channel.
