Remember that over 90% of international transactions are done through U.S. dollars because when financial crisis happened in 2009, only U.S. dollar out of 4 major exchange rates showed strength. It suggests that investors generally prefer to keep U.S. dollar when things are uncertain. In other words, if U.S. dollar shows some weakness, it won't stay like that for long. China's trying hard to break the U.S. dollar dominance but when I went to China in April to present my academic research, I felt it's not going to happen soon. I don't think Trump plays a key role in affecting U.S. dollar strength. Rather, he is focusing on creating new issues against China as he doesn't like China's growing role in international monetary system and wants to maintain America's dominance in the financial markets. Permanent depreciation of U.S dollar may help U.S. to gain some competitive advantage but temporal depreciation won't really help improve U.S trade imbalance. Naaahhh,

having said, Permanent depreciation of U.S dollar won't happen and that's not what Trump wants. If that happen, global investors will sell off U.S. assets and will cause U.S. crisis 2018~19. Trump is just fooling everyone now so don't be tricked by him when you make trading decision. Currency markets are largely driven by big U.S. hedge funds. They don't care about fundamentals. All they need some good volatility to gain profits to keep their investors happy and that's why they keep creating booms and busts across financial markets.

Dollar will have a big drop...it's a take profits time...GBP and EUR will benifit from that..on Brexit issue there will be good news ..BOE expected to raise hike..we will buy above 1.3159 or 1.3105 ...targeting 1.3277 then 1.3318 then 1.3340-45 finally 1.3364..from there we will inspect the move..if back below 1.3310 -1.3294 then we will be heading to 1.2874.

The 1.2990 - 1.3000 level is key to direction as it marks the cross over level of the upper and lower trend lines. Looking at how price has found support at the 1.3000 level over the past few weeks a rally to the upside should follow, however, price needs make new highs above the 1.3360 level sooner rather than later otherwise there is a risk of breaking the 1.3000 level support level, which would definitely send this pair down to the lower 1.20 levels.

I don't think there will be a massive drop on Monday.. You can see the high of it deduct 90-100 pips then that's where you buy.. For example you have 5 sell tomorrow you can let go some 3 positions hedge 2 sells then buy another 3 positions making you have 5 buy and 2 sells. Then you can scalp the 3 buying and go for another sell..

GhostRider Maybe this scenario may be possible? Make the USD index back to 93.50-93.70.- an dlet people believe that the USD is going down and than raise back to 97( I don't think will go above 97 at all).  Also with last weeks performance gold was at very delicious price to buy as well and may hit back to 1.300.- with the weaker dollar index. Am I thinking right or wrong?

GhostRider 99% correlation between eu and GU because Both are driven by big US hedge funds. I don't know much about gold as I haven't analysed gold properly although I know Microsoft and corn and soybeans move together 90% though lol. These idiots hedge funds sometimes make me laugh lol

With all respect, A lot of you live in the groundhog days. That way, you cant make money consistently. Although currency markets are not as bad as other financial markets, uninformed speculators are still dominant. Unless you forget the fundementals, it will be hard to get out of the groundhog days.

I am talking about short term..I still believe the range is 1.3049 -1.3159....if 1.3190 was broken for any reaction related to dollar or Brexit we will find it spiking..also don't forget that the support it found looks like bottom had occurred...which assure 1.3364 is on the way...after 1.3270
