South africa wants palladium so they digging up 3 Times more platinum to get it and store it for better Times. There ARE less and less demand for platinum and more and more oversuppy.

Best of luck.  I was considering biting at 791.50 as I had a buy order in but cancelled it. I definitely wouldn't say that it's been 'hammered' today.  Try a 30 dollar change, now that's being hammered.

I don't feel that way on Platinum but guess that's the case.  I've shorted the tops over 800 which would have been a scary thought a year ago. Sometimes you gotta push it down so it can go back up.

South africa mines must take out 3 Times more platinum to get palladium as byproduct. Means overproduction of platinum.

So much buying and selling in the 780-820 range.  Wish I was playing the chop more but if it happens...which I think it will....the next drop is going to be a doozy and take us to the 720 range before it can pull up for the long term as some fresh blood is needed.

let's supposesuppose that the technical substitution ratio for platinum/palladium in gas cat converters is 1:1. wish I knew. and the barriers to change are fixed costs associated with production runs, testing, and regulatory approval. On an 8 million ounce market that makes a 3.5 billion dollar incentive, collectively.once it is implemented, a 300-400k oz surplus in the platinum market turns into a multi million ounce deficit, and the differential swings the other way
