Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Software, Financial Services and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 1.39%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.66%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.75%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 5.33% or 0.95 points to trade at 18.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) added 2.87% or 8.10 points to end at 290.20 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) was up 2.58% or 1.08 points to 42.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN), which fell 4.25% or 2.16 points to trade at 48.83 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) declined 2.29% or 9.70 points to end at 413.50 and Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) was down 1.06% or 0.80 points to 74.86.
The top performers on the MDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which rose 6.47% to 50.85, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which was up 6.17% to settle at 4.73 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which gained 5.86% to close at 1.96.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 16.73% to 25.64 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which lost 3.63% to settle at 6.74 and Hochtief AG (ETR:HOTG) which was down 2.33% to 98.55 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which rose 6.47% to 50.85, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 4.78% to settle at 22.82 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which gained 4.28% to close at 256.00.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was down 0.91% to 76.05 in late trade, Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which gained 0.05% to settle at 19.08 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was up 0.15% to 67.85 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 465 to 145 and 36 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.81% to 14.37.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.23% or 5.45 to $2,347.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.60% or 0.50 to hit $84.07 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.58 to trade at $89.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 105.97.
