        • News alert, we are going to be in a recession this year. Also, far as the stock market is concerned everyone is not a winner, there are eventually losers.

          • These mega-retailers are the best positioned to deal with high inflation because they can hide it by spreading the price increase across their all of their inventory so that the consumer doesn't notice too much. And because they sell groceries, there will be an increase in traffic, because all those restaurant goers can no longer afford restaurants. Should be a fairly rapid rebound.

            • That's not what Target or Especially Walmart has done! I have noticed big price increases especially at Walmart on just about everything! The increases on Food prices at Walmart outpaced Even Target to the point that Walmart is now showing decreased revenue on Groceries as well. The margins on Groceries run around 2.5 percent at Walmart & Target compared to Kroger at 7.5 . So people like myself are going more to Aldi now which seems to be more cost friendly! They will rebound as inflationary price pressures start to subside, but that will happen after consumer demand recovers which right now it's still in decline !

            • being in best position to deal with inflation does not mean that they are going to absorb the cost. it means they are the place where price sensitive people shop.

          • Just remember there are a lot of false narratives in the market right now and do not let that push you away from investing like a lot RN cause you will regret missing out

              • Is the free fall over? My guess is no. Target far below 100

                • Wait, it’s not bottom untill all retail stocks announce. Target should not below 120, it’s my guess.
