I think I might load up on intel soon. The Taiwan election indicates a peacful unification with China, I expect some tarrifs or trade restrictions on TSMC products. I just wish the board replaced Pat with someone who can get things done.

Not really, most of their cpus need tiles from tsmc. its not like they can just change things from a to b over night, and secondly almost 30% of intels business is china business. Disrupted supply chains would cause sales collapses.

There is a real chance that Taiwan will reunifiy peacefully. Taiwan's election will decide. Regardless China is getting control over Taiwan, even if they allow it to have autonomy. The questions is what tarrifs or restrictions are put on TSMC's products. The world can't decouple, but they certainly can manipulate trades with China. Does the US give Intel 100 billion dollars to make fabs faster? Who knows. Regardless once the board changes leadership this stock doubles in a month.

Id buy when it gets a bit cheaper and or they change the c-suite. At least 3 officers need to go. Pat is a nice guy but he is a complete failure, he inspires no one, motivates no one, is infected with social issues that do not matter. He needs to be buying fab talent and working with government officials to get those new fabs done. Until they can make EUV chips at scale and sell them with good margins, nothing matters. Let Nvidia and Marvel and smart companies design the chips, just focus on FAB. I would be fine if they sold off their dead chip x86 chip business.

If I were you, I wouldnt keep buying at a close price to the previous one. Just expect the worst. Its now about the market, not Intel. So I would think about 28 instead of 32.

Completely agree. That was confirmed when I started watching the keynote. I had to turn it off it was so painfully stupid. Maybe Pat was a smart guy back in the day, now he is a creepy old man that is trying to act like a nerd.

Not sure what you are refering to. Zinsner (CFO of Intel) himself just said data center is still far from recovery, and in fact its lagging behind. Data center demand in September was way behind expectations while MTL was moved back even further into Dec with ramp in 2024.

Dont worry about me, even I have a social life and sometimes holidays. Next ER will show how sustainable all of this hype is. This time I am not going to short though, because there is way too much irrationality involved plus its unclear how much Intel was able to profit in AI with Gaudi2.
