Falling crude oil prices, strong dollar due to Fed, weakening of Yuan, political situation, all will effect MYR. Expected to go higher then previous close of 4.4975 on 4.01.2017.

If you want to short USDMYR, build your short positioning starting from 4.066 to 4.13. ..and hold to 3.6. Circa 3.6 (3.62-3.57) is projected to be the neckline and was the last strong level MYR had when it was resistance before turned to support.

Yes. Long term MYR will be stronger. Short term MYR weakness is related to Barisan Nasional effects.

short term myr will show weakness especially against usd, but with our petroleum price is ascending trend and inflation at a controllable level, myr is a bargain now.

They key to strengthen Ringgit is exports. But China has taken many export capabilities of Asia and even the world due to its unbelievable cheap labours. Malaysia has often relies on oil and gas that now struggle to rebound due to global events. Oil commodities will take flight at slow pace as reserves is piling up everyday and could adapt on any demands. World decisions on climate change will certainly give big impact to oil-dependent countries and thus to their currencies... Malaysia needs to play like Korea which does not depend oil but becomes one of world player in tech-economics or growing in new economy on digital platform . This pair is expected to bullish as USD is getting stronger when Trump administrative comes into effect. Measures from BNM to promote fundamental trade on ringgits is good but not enough. Again China and Russia big demands on commodities could be the key to help reduce Ringgits volatility. But when?

Governor has warned all banks to stop all NDF activities and not to follow NDF value. I think https://investing.com price is following NDF, that's why show flat since Monday. In fact, BNM website today quoted USD rate at 4.4445 as at 12pm malaysia time.
