Often USDCHF is able to lose in just one day what it earned in a week. In addition, for a few days the data that arrives from the USA are bad like a shit, while the Switzerland data are excellent, and the result is that the Swiss franc inevitably strengthens.

Stphen Rcl This is not the first time USD/CHF has had a 1% fall. And it is not uncommon for it to drop above 200 pips in a week. Regarding today's fall, Switzerland had excellent data this morning, such as the value of the Gross Domestic Product and the Trade Balance. The dollar, on the other hand, received really very bad data. These two pieces of news are already enough to explain today's fall in usdchf.

It's very strange what's happening right now. The dollar rose sharply to CHF in response to the US wholesale inflation news, but then just fell back to where it was, all in a matter of 30 min. Why can't it stay higher if the news warrants it? very strange.
