I see this as speculation from stock marketers. Price of corn is stable in Europe without some big changes. I will buy at 636. GL

Corn closed limit down (40 cents) keeping on track of four consecutive trading days of new crop futures closing lower. A significant drop in export sales was bearish for the corn market. USDA says corn sales were down 91 percent from the previous week and 95 percent from the prior four-week averages. Rumors of reduced blending targets are also pushing bearish movement. https://brownfieldagnews.com/market-news/corn-moves-limit-down-steep-losses-for-soybeans/

REUTERS: CHICAGO, June 17 (Reuters) - U.S. corn and soybean futures fell sharply on Thursday, pressured by outlooks for rain and cooler temperatures in the Midwest crop belt, as well as spillover weakness from broad-based selling in the commodities sector, analysts said. Commodity funds hold a net long position in CBOT corn, soybean and soyoil futures, leaving the markets prone to bouts of long liquidation. “All these outside markets - the funds (are) just exiting. The charts, certainly in beans, meal and oil, look ugly,” said Dan Cekander, president of DC Analysis. Traders expect showers to bring relief to dry areas of the U.S. Corn Belt over the next two weeks, improving production prospects. https://www.reuters.com/article/global-grains/grains-corn-soy-plunge-on-u-s-weather-broad-commodities-sell-off-idUSL2N2NZ22K?rpc=401&

China has stepped up its campaign to rein in prices and reduce speculation in a bid to ease the threat to its economy from soaring raw-materials costs. The country’s top economic planner on Thursday reaffirmed its intention to cool commodities, and said it will release metals from state reserves in a timely manner to push prices back to a normal range. Also hurting prices of many agricultural products has been improving weather in growing regions. Recent beneficial rains have corn futures on track for the steepest monthly decline since 2011 and for soybeans since 2016. Getting Whiplash “The volatility we are seeing now is all about weather,” Stephen Nicholson, a senior analyst for grains and oilseeds at Rabobank, said in a phone interview on Thursday. “Over the last few weeks you just get whiplash from day to day.”
