Indonesia stocks lower at close of trade; IDX Composite Index down 0.24%

© Reuters.  Indonesia stocks lower at close of trade; IDX Composite Index down 0.24% – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Industry, Property and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index declined 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk (JK:BAJA), which rose 30.59% or 52 points to trade at 222 at the close. Meanwhile, Langgeng Makmur Industri Tbk (JK:LMPI) added 26.96% or 31 points to end at 146 and Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (JK:GDST) was up 25.00% or 20 points to 100 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Prima Alloy Steel Universal (JK:PRAS), which fell 9.91% or 21 points to trade at 191 at the close. Mitra Investindo Tbk (JK:MITI) declined 9.89% or 9 points to end at 82 and Pool Advista Indonesia Tbk (JK:POOL) was down 9.81% or 105 points to 965.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 159 to 143 and 93 ended unchanged.

Shares in Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk (JK:BAJA) rose to 52-week highs; up 30.59% or 52 to 222. Shares in Mitra Investindo Tbk (JK:MITI) fell to 3-years lows; down 9.89% or 9 to 82. Shares in Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (JK:GDST) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 25.00% or 20 to 100.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.73% or 0.83 to $47.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.12% or 0.56 to hit $49.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.90 to trade at $1341.20 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was up 0.46% to 13288.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.20% to 10120.40.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.63.
