Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Transportation & Logistics and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.82% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index climbed 0.81%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG), which rose 2.68% or 1.54 points to trade at 59.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:FMEG) added 2.19% or 1.260 points to end at 58.760 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (DE:SY1G) was up 2.18% or 2.600 points to 122.025 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn), which fell 0.85% or 1.63 points to trade at 190.82 at the close. Airbus Group SE (DE:AIRG) declined 0.85% or 0.94 points to end at 109.62 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) was down 0.66% or 0.67 points to 101.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were CTS Eventim AG (DE:EVDG) which rose 5.66% to 66.420, United Internet AG NA (DE:UTDI) which was up 3.07% to settle at 32.860 and Fraport AG (DE:FRAG) which gained 3.03% to close at 63.500.
The worst performers were Wacker Chemie O.N. (DE:WCHG) which was down 2.80% to 151.57 in late trade, Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (DE:FPEG_p) which lost 2.37% to settle at 40.700 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 1.86% to 12.66 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were United Internet AG NA (DE:UTDI) which rose 3.07% to 32.860, Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which was up 2.87% to settle at 102.050 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which gained 2.71% to close at 61.380.
The worst performers were S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which was down 2.21% to 20.32 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which lost 1.86% to settle at 12.66 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which was down 1.19% to 41.350 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 458 to 238 and 21 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.88% to 17.21.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.42% or 7.45 to $1791.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.91% or 0.76 to hit $84.33 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 1.01 to trade at $84.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8475.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.957.
