Short squeeze
So many other more cost effective options then this antiquated company. It's probably not going to survive alone.

They have the PHYSICAL presence. Of course digital is cheaper, so they started to offer new digital solutions (antiquated company has stablecoin cards :)

18.09.2026 $6.18 closing price. Dividend $0.94/year. Around 7 years to recover my money (around 10 years including taxes). How does it sound?
They cut by 80-90% dividend. How your calculations then?

Krystian Sss Just read today a Morningstar report that increased WU from 3*** to 4****. Dividend was estimated to increase slowly every year: 0.94 to 0.95 to 0.96 etc

Seems that high dividend yield is not enough :)

Guys,I am not going to argue if Western Union will succeed in their future plans or not, but remember this is a legit company founded 175 years ago, they are still the lead into international money transfer which will never stops. Yes they have a great competition with local money transfer because they were delayed in adopting digital transfer. If today they decided to cut dividends into half they still gives you 6-7% dividends which no legit companies gives these days. This company no way is going to bankrupt in the coming 10 years. The question is why the stock price is facing all this pressure while there is too many shity stocks are traded better than WU
Buying for the dividend. yield at 12.8%

WU $18.39 @ 03:48 PM ET
Soon going to rocket +20% hold your position
52 week lows, 5.5% dividend. Worth a go. May prove a true value play over the next 12-18 months
Relax. A down in WU is just an opportunity to buy. Nothing is going to replace real money and real assets. If you can’t touch a building, a piece of gold, that means that this thing doesn’t exist. El Salvador is going to lost a lot because of BTC. Westerne Union is going to rise soon and a lot. Let’s buy more. Bulls believe in money

Illegal immigrants use this company to send BILLIONS of US dollars to family back home. WU takes their cut and sends it. Illegal immigration is up to ridiculous levels since Biden Harris took office. Help or hurt WU's bottom line year over year? I think we all know the answer...
