    • why is this news with the whistleblower? even a kindergarten kid knows this uber/lyft business model is not sustainable for drivers.....been saying that for a while
      1
      • Earnings coming next week Nov 7 and it's forecast to beat earnings so take a strong position before Nov. 7

        • Not the best advise...

      • Got some insight on LYFT from a recent trip.I was charged $10.85 for a ride. The driver was paid $3.40 by LYFT, 31% of the total fare.I'm not sure why anyone would work for that company.I gave him a $4 tip
        1
        • they deducted the tip from his pay. if you had not given him a tip, he would have been more for that trip.
          0
        • ....correction: have been paid more.

      • I don’t see how it’s so difficult for these companies to make profit.. They keep 1/2 of the druvers total fee and the driver still has gas and depreciation and maintenance..
        1
        • problem is Uber/Lyft came to Lowball local Cab 🚖 companies. now they're swallowing their own mistake. look at maintenance cost now. their drivers are bailing. Simple math
          0
        • Elvis Durantok but youre missing the point of my question.. Why do they need to keep 50% of the drivers commission? If it was reduced to 20% the drivers wouldnt be leaving the companies. I understand there are costs to running a business, but why do they need 1/2 the commissions and how are they not profitable while they do keep 1/2?
          0
        • I get you. I think when they started split was 80/20. and look where it is now....
          0
      • thete is a way to keep the drivers they have, get the ones that left back AND easily recruit uber drivers to lyft, without the board having to throw gobs of their money at them and having the stock price recover and increase market share while doing good. But would they listen to an outsider or remain stubborn?

        • you know if Sh!1t about to hit the fan with Uber n Lyft. Thousands of passengers left stranded in the NYC area. Now Relying on Yellow Cabs to salvage their rears.....🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽😫😫🤣🤣🤣
          2
          • The fact that Both Uber & Lyft are shifting drivers left n right with a 50/50 split these days with fuel prices and car maintenance, tells a lot about this 2 lame companies. Wake up drivers or park your vehicles! it's that simple!
