That was a good call. Relative Strength is critical to individual stock selection.

ok so let's say for example you own a house which is worth $100,000. Then you split the house in 2 and you own both of them. Would each piece of the houe be worth $100,000 each? Or, since each is smaller, each would be worth less so that the combined price would be $100,000?

So short-term speaking, investors think now that ATT has lost an important part of its business, let's say HBO. What I think is that ATT has divested from that part of the business that it could not control and that investors did not like it to have because they thought ATT would be unable to apply a good strategic formula. And this will be welcomed in the long term. It's a buy from my side. Good trading to everyone.

TimeWarner.Discovery deal has been closed today, investors are already disassembling positions on AT&T who will lose around 29% of WarnersMedia. As last week AT&T's CEO commented, some readjustments of the price may follow once the deal is signed. Readjustments of 30%? And what is more interesting: Exdividend date = 13/04/2022. Will that be also taken into account or will it go as it did with the last dividend payment when it climbed from 22 to 27? Time will tell (and maybe also Jim Cramer haha)

All in all, good opportunity to invest in a business whose merge with Discovery was not seen as something good and that had to do some financial tactics to tell investors: Hey we are now just doing a spinoff (creating a new company partially owned by Discovery and ATT), no merge around here; hoping that investors would prefer this idea. And personally, I think this is just what investors wanted: An ATT focused on fiber, 5G and telecommunications rather than streaming media destroying Time Warner and discovery board of directors by putting their own ATT formula staff there. I think good times will come after this huge movement and time will applause the new ATT strategy, which makes ATT, TimeWarner and Discovery investors happier (or less discontent than what was initially proposed).
