    • superstrong czk with 17 percent inflation and no rasing rates past half year...

      • The latest inflation number came out today, it is 15%, down from the last month's 16.7%. It is a huge inflation but will probably slow down further, maybe towards zero by the late summer. More importantly for the crown, the central bank said not to lower the rates before the inflation clearly drops closer to the 2% target. And because the energy resources etc. are cheap, Czechia imports materials easily, and it produces the machines and electricity etc. and makes trade surpluses again.

      • There was quite a reason for a weak Czech crown in 2022: the Czech economy is heavily importing oil and gas and those were very expensive, creating trade deficits for Czechia. But this has reversed, probably for quite some time, and oil and especially gas are cheap again. Trade surpluses may resurrect in Czechia and there is no reason why the dollar should survive above 20 crowns.

            • Jakube, you are detached from reality. The dollar will drop below 20 before Summer 2021 and within 4 years, it will probably set new lows below CZK 14.50.

            • Vážím si uznávaných vědců, ale USD aktuálně nejspíš líže podlahu. Napovídají tomu Fibonacciho sekvence, dlouhodobý trend a formující se, ještě nepotvrzené dno, nucméně je zapotřebí se mít na pozoru, protože velcí hráči silně shortují dolar, to ale neznamená, že se nemýlí.

            • Ramirez Kostolany Pane Ramirezi, takhle to nefunguje, zvláště ne v dlouhodobém měřítku. Fibonacciho posloupnosti jsou kouzelné, ale systematicky nefungují ani krátkodobě, a pokud ano, tak jen proto, že je to sebenaplňující se proroctví: někteří lidé obracejí trendy nedaleko těchto obratů podle technických analýz, protože jim někdo řekl, že to je normální. Střednědobě a dlouhodobě koruna bude posilovat více než USD a další proto, že má Česko jednoduše přebytek obchodní bilance, skoro miliardu dolarů měsíčně. Tyhle devizy proudí do ČR a je třeba je konvertovat na CZK, ve které exportéři mají účetnictví a platí náklady. Kromě toho už v červnu a nejpozději v srpnu bude ČNB mezi prvními bankami světa, možná zcela první, která zvýší úrokové míry. To činí střádání v CZK přitažlivější, a proto budou jednotlivci i instituce nakupovat více CZK. Naproti tomu Federal Reserve, americká centrální banka, je dosti "holubičí" a klidně nechá inflaci roztočit.
