US Soybeans Futures Discussions

So whats the bull story? China the biggest buyer of us beans hasnt bought much new crop. Sales are down 97%
Buy was reported, anonymous so assumed China. And at least your acknowledging this stretch of hotter and drier weather. I'm hearing there's a chance it sticks around much longer than you're suggesting. The moral side of this trade is to be long at these suppressed levels. Only hurting the family farms.
understand whT you trade is important. Your too early. China at this time of year has normanly bought 97% more. China buys 25 % normally pf crop. There is a reason this cant rally. Dont have blinders on. If it rains 50-60 lower. Good luck
the trade doesnt care about hurting family farms. It doesnt work that way its stocks to usage ratios and basic supply and demand. Manage money doesnt think oh we better not hurt the family farm. Just basic supply to what expected usage ahould be
Sup. line @1033 and all uo to Res line @1125-1145-1170
Flat
Short Nov beans 1080. Its going to take a lot to break the down trend line. Sitting on it right now
I would be long right here (which I am). We know crops are excellent and priced in. Recent flash sales and some potential lasting weather heading in over this weekend. At the least, due for a relief rally.
its going to be tough getting through the dowh trend line. Had the same inflo innthe day session and didnt get through. Not going to be short long just looking for a few extra bucks
Flash sales are very common this time of year. Always good too see but we arre behind on our normal sales to china. Some talk that china will load up now before a possible trump victory. Lets hope we need them
Commercials sure are giving funds an easy exit
Remarkable. Hearing of advisors recommeding to sell into these small pops. These small pops will never materialize into anything greater until these commercials stop selling at a loss.
We have been in this trade since 7/11 and as a result of a poorly timed entry there is very little to show. At this juncture a loss of 3 cents bu. may be warranted and a roll into Nov appropriate.
Long nov beans from 10.66
Let's see what happens. I am long nov at 10.64
Do any of you follow the crush spread? If so, how do you use it?
Some rally we drop well over a dollat and this is the bounce we get? Hard tonget bullish when the crop is so good. But beans are made in aug lots can happen yet
Terrible action. Just a dead car bounce. 🤦🏻‍♂️. Probably a bad sign. Crops near record though so tough to argue
I think China rate cut and unfavorable weather potentially taking over and maybe farmers desperate to lock in the little bit of pop since being used to being drug through the mud. Probably felt a relief by selling a few ticks off the 4 year bottom.
Still in uptrend. Let's see what this latest weather forecast does.
Like to gamble? Aug at the money 11.20 call options at 9 cents, $450, expire 4 days on Friday. Any rally the next 4 days over .09 is then all profit. Else expiration under strike price worth zero. Options big gamble. Max loss $450. Max profit unlimited depending on potential bullish move next 4 days trading.
Looks like todays soybean short covering rally based on hot dry weather moving into western corn/soybean belt. Nov new crop today premium over Aug contract. Bring this heat dome east into Aug and watch beans explode. Dome retreates out west, look for more selling to support fund position. Im thinking at least short term rally on weather uncertainty.
Corn is made in July. Soybeans made in Aug. Hot dry weather in Aug affects beans much more than corn. IF this dome moves east going forward here, look for huge short covering rally, funds getting out of record short position and new buying on weather. If not weather shift, then selling into harvest off short term rally here.
Check out Pierre, SD going foreward into Aug. If this moves east going forward, soybeans could be large.....
Huge hot and dry over far western soybean areas, Dakotas. If this dome moves east on forecast updates, look out above......
Cannot say anything about dementia Joe without being cancelled!!
Ok they blocked me for speaking the truth!!! USA media censorship
Will they rally this into Aug options expiration on Friday? Look for a certain strike price? I read on barchart.com this rally is on drier weather the next week. Where?
Good pop. Hope to see nov soybeans get to 11.30 as still a lot of downside risk look to sell the rally
Nice close
Indeed. Is today's run primarily potential weather related concerns? Hearingbhotter/ drier weather may be in play and have come to understand that beans lead the way on weather related concerns, hence today. Thanka
If we are talking pure percentages and wiping out shorts, canola would be leading the way. That's due to weather in Europe (sunflower and rape) / North America, combined with speculative positioning. I don't think the run is over yet, but is moving faster than anticipated.
Crop is gettinh hurt in canada. Canola i saw a video of a farmer talking about it
