What happened to the guy who said i was blind not to see the uptrend in corn? I shorted above $5. Just covered my shorts. Yes i saw the uptrend. It reversed into a downtrend when it dumped lol. Especially and you can tell its weak when oil goes up but none of the grains gollow and fall instead.

How can you say theain trend is up when it falks from 546 to where it is now? Its almost a 100% retracemeant lol. Depending on your time frame you canalways call up because one day it’ll go to $6. The only important thing is ate you actualky making money or getting a worseming floating loss?

i look at longer timeframe to establish the main trend, have a look at the Dow laws and you will understand there is always a main trend and a counter trend ( opposite of the main one). Money can always be done both sides but it’s easier to make with main trend than with counter trend. Plus, if i hold buys much lower since i have been buying main trend, i can hold a loss without being worried as my profit will always be higher than my loss. It’s an example and not my current position, i remain average long at 479 now, will stop with a close below 456 and volumes above price. That may happen of course, but even in that case my previous profit would outpace my last loss..

What happened to that guy who told me i was blind to see a downtrend? Yes im aware that it was an uptrend before. It falls from 540 to 500 during harvest time and hes still buying? Lol. Gave me crap because he was in the money for one day and now hes down 15 cents

Uptrends become downtrends, become uptrends. It's just up and down in a big range for commodities. Apart from the US stock market, they trend up and down. I think you'll be ok if oil pulls it up. But don't give people crap like you know it all, when uptrends become downtrends.

Also don't take me for a fool. Corn didn't trade below $493 until it dumped below 480. So you're making it seem like you're average was $4.93 before it dumped. When in fact you just bought more to bring down your average, which is fine if it goes back up, but just means you took on even more risk and lose more if it goes down even more. I'm not a noob trader, it's all about risk control, don't talk to people like you have the future uptrends and downtrends figured out 100%. It's a risk game just like poker.

I am not trying to make it seems like a poker game, which is actually not indeed. I just follow my rules and i dont take anything for granted. i have been buying scaling down as the volumes i see are below price on weekly and daily charts. Of course things can always change, but as long as volumes are below price, trend is still up and this does not mean you cannot make money by going short. I was buying all the way long from 430 and always posting my trades. Since it went up above 520, i started closing my longs quite close to the top and waited for a correction, that eventually came.You may not like it, but it’s just what happened. To close the argument, i will stop my long if price closes and stays below 456 and volumes move above price. If this does not happen, i remain long and i dont mind at all if anybody makes money shorting.

Just to let you know. I personally closed my shorts last friday and I'm long oil. I'm just saying it's very cocky to tell people they're blind not to see the uptrend and then start losing money yourself, then post your averaged down price when the original entry price was close to $5. Anything can happen, even if oil prices stay high. This is harvest time which usually means a downtrend, then South America might plant a huge crop. Not saying it'll happen, but seen just about everything in commodity markets.

Willie Booker this looks cocky to you, i tell you why, because i learnt to only look at charts and volumes. This is the only thing that is reliable, and no matter what news, oil and harvest say, volumes below price tend to make price go high and viceversa. I also agree thay oil will be volatile with more upside potencial and will go above 100 again soon, but ags strenght it’s not oil or usd related, it’s a broader market tendency to buy commodities. Jusy watch copper despite weakness in chinese and european economy. If you trade regularly you also know that catching tops and bottoms its impossible, more important is trading with trends and managing risk. I never win 3-0, stay sure i will always have losses, but what i have learnt is to read volumes and trade accordingly.

I dont short uptrends and i dont buy downtrends. I bought two and three days ago and i am already in profit. Ask those who shorted how long they did wait before seeing a profit, or cutting their loss. If you see a downtrend here, you are either blind or have no idea about what trading is
