Gold Futures Overview

"Gold is a precious metal that has been used throughout history as both a currency and a store of value. In that aspect, gold is considered both a commodity and a currency and is used as insurance against currencies and market fluctuations. Gold price is a function of demand and reserves changes, and is less affected by means such as mining supply. Explore the tab-navigation section below for detailed financial information on Gold, including live price charts, forecasts, technical analysis, news, opinions, reports and user discussions."

Here's what happened in Weimar Republic, Germany between 1911-1923. The currency used then was known as the Paper Mark. The Weimar Republic suffered one of the worst hyperinflation recorded in human history. One oz of gold in 1911 was worth 170 Paper Marks. By 1923, an ounce of gold was priced at 87 trillion Paper Marks. Yes, you read it right. It is 87 TRILLION per oz. Now, take a look at the depreciation curve of the Paper Mark. It has the same vertical curve as to the quantity of the US Dollar in circulation since the last 100 years, after all our QE programs. Gold cannot reach $80k? :))
