Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Basic Metals and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which rose 5.60% or 0.32 points to trade at 6.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 4.55% or 0.45 points to end at 10.35 and Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) was up 4.27% or 0.550 points to 13.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kartonsan (IS:KARTN), which fell 4.40% or 12.00 points to trade at 260.50 at the close. Turk Telekom (IS:TTKOM) declined 3.47% or 0.20 points to end at 5.57 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was down 3.13% or 0.010 points to 0.310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 152 and 72 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.55% or 0.45 to 10.35.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.75 to $1268.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.59 to hit $44.68 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.04% or 0.48 to trade at $45.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.58% to 3.2607, while EUR/TRY rose 1.27% to 3.5488.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 98.89.
