Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecom, Mining and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI fell 1.68%, while the MICEX index fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the RTSI were PIK (MCX:PIKK), which rose 3.07% or 5.80 points to trade at 195.00 at the close. Meanwhile, BSP (MCX:BSPB) added 2.47% or 0.800 points to end at 33.250 and MMK (MCX:MAGN) was up 2.38% or 0.340 points to 14.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were E.ON Russia (MCX:EONR), which fell 4.10% or 0.1190 points to trade at 2.7810 at the close. Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) declined 3.53% or 11.55 points to end at 316.00 and VTB (MCX:VTBR) was down 3.00% or 0.0021 points to 0.0680.
The top performers on the MICEX were PIK (MCX:PIKK) which rose 3.07% to 195.00, BSP (MCX:BSPB) which was up 2.47% to settle at 33.250 and MMK (MCX:MAGN) which gained 2.38% to close at 14.600.
The worst performers were E.ON Russia (MCX:EONR) which was down 4.10% to 2.7810 in late trade, Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) which lost 3.53% to settle at 316.00 and VTB (MCX:VTBR) which was down 3.00% to 0.0680 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 77 to 75 and 6 ended unchanged.

Gold for April delivery was up 0.62% or 7.50 to $1217.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in April rose 1.91% or 0.92 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 2.69% or 1.61 to trade at $61.66 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 1.25% to 61.943, while EUR/RUB rose 1.14% to 69.259.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 95.25.
