Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Infrastructure and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT), which rose 34.44% or 62.00 points to trade at 242.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk (JK:BAPA) added 34.00% or 17 points to end at 67 and Metro Realty Tbk (JK:MTSM) was up 23.39% or 80 points to 422 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Goodyear Indonesia Tbk (JK:GDYR), which fell 25.00% or 500.00 points to trade at 1500.00 at the close. Sekar Laut Tbk (JK:SKLT) declined 17.01% or 125.00 points to end at 610.00 and Dwi Aneka Jaya Kemasindo Tbk (JK:DAJK) was down 10.34% or 6.00 points to 52.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 159 to 140 and 114 ended unchanged.
Shares in Goodyear Indonesia Tbk (JK:GDYR) fell to 52-week lows; down 25.00% or 500.00 to 1500.00. Shares in Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk (JK:BAPA) rose to 3-years highs; rising 34.00% or 17 to 67.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.23% or 0.12 to $52.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.47% or 0.26 to hit $55.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.65 to trade at $1193.15 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.10% to 13347.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.04% to 10105.20.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 100.18.
