this stock has huge short interest so that translates to a huge swing up or down. I am holding 400 shares with an average price of $20. I plan on holding long term. I have no idea what earnings will bring.

I love it when every John Doe makes a prediction of a stock or the market. The analysts, the banks, the Fed, the market makers have not been able to predict any trend with certainty and yet we have people who just have been trading stocks for couple years and continously make prediction, entertaining to say the least. Thanks for always making me laugh.
Entertaining, but can also justify or challenge one’s perspective to further research and develop opinion. Between technical analysis, relevant and specific news possibly overlooked, and one’s previous experience, much can be taken from these forums. Certainly plenty of trolls to be ignored, but make the most of the forums. Best wishes.

No denying that bulls had their run upto $400 and shorts have been making money since then, but I have deep conviction that 5+ years from now, this will have a solid base of $300-$500. Certainly a short target until market truly reverses. A great time to accumulate shares at low prices. Whether bear market lasts another week or 6 months is anyone’s guess. But make no mistake, the reversal will be phenomenal. The market will not look back. Great time to accumulate SOXL as well. So much fear and options burning has already taken place. Dollar cost average.

People never learn. Upstart is a lender, not a technology company. When you know what hits the fan and banks/CUs stop buying loans, Upstart will have to become a lender or go out of business.
