Why the NMC market is not open still
I live in the UAE and have been to a few of their hospitals when it comes to sick leave. I think that their founder fell into the trap of using funded equity instruments to raise capital for other projects and that there are some interesting questions raised by muddy waters report about conflict of interests and related transactions but you see these with a LOT of formerly 'family owned' conglomerates. The one thing muddy waters did get WRONG is in their definition of the disparity in the pricing and cost/sq foot of their hospital in abu dhabi and other properties. They do not seem to understand that abu dhabi is on an island, similar to manhattan, naturally this makes land aquisition costs higher. Also as the capital city of the country, labour costs and building costs and permits are higher. UAE is a federal country so each state has its own licensing and authorities within a federal framework. They did not pay any heed to this.
Agree with you with respect to the cost per square foot. However if they cannot clarify the shareholding issue after so many days and they had to appoint a thirdparty to review the shareholding shows there is total lack of controlFurther according to their financial statements for 2018 they have acquired EMC in Muscat oman for almost 20 million USD, as far as i know EMC is an OP clinic operating out of a small rented premise. Compare that with the acquistion of Atlas hospitals in Oman itself, two full fledged hospitals totalling to 150 beds acquired in the previous year for about 24 million usd only. Looks like the arithametics needs to be worked on..Goodluck investors
Can an analist comment on this?
They say 42 percent more...
how low will it go lol
muddy waters have concerns about them, hence the drop. but it looks like a few companies are currently in talks about makings offers for nmc
any news of why its negative today?
-20%? What's the news?
The firm has a market cap of $2.73 B and a PE ratio of 13.24. At the current levels, holding and accumulating is the best bet with this share.

This is the best time to invest in NMC, as the stock price is 1,316.00 GBX as of today. Holding the stocks, for now, will be the best option. What do you all suggest?
True
Two of NMC Health's main shareholders will sell down their holdings in a bid to reduce their indebtedness, including that of corporate entities owned by them.
The stock opened at 1700GBX today which is a good sign more than what it closed at yesterday. Accumulating the stocks for now seems a good choice.
With a market cap of 3.51B and holding debt to equity ratio of 17.13. I strongly recommend everyone to hold and accumulate if possible.
The company's history shows the ups and downs it has faced over the years. the recent report is just another hiccup which am sure they will overcome soon.
The company has suffered huge losses all because of MW's silly report. Hope they get back with a bang soon and shut all the rumors.
The way NMC has handled the whole situation was commendable. An upward trajectory has been observed with a Market Cap of 3.70B. It seems like the short-sellers have stopped attacking the shares.
With all the necessary steps that NMC will be taking am sure they'll prove MW wrong in no time. MW has been targetting big names for no reason without any verified data to back their high claims. a strong action is indeed needed against them.
Awaiting for NMC to take some much awaited and needed steps against MW. Nevertheless their stock price has gone up a bit than what it was last week. Steady progress is a good sign.
I've heard that NMC is in talks with its legal advisors and other regulatory bodies narrowing down a way to get back at the false allegations made by MW. Think it's a much needed step against a company who publishes information in order to influence the market. Nevertheless, looks like NMC's stock prices are back on track with the current rate being over 1700
On several occasions NMC has made it a point to be clear with their expenditure. I remember one such instance in 2012 wherein the actual contract value for Modular concept LLC exceeded the pre-decided capex by almost US$3m . The company clarified to its shareholders why this happened.
The fact that NMC has highlighted the reasons behind capex on the brighpoint project increasing by $10M from $70M to $80M shows the intent in keeping things clear from their perspective.
Have heard that NMC has started its buyback program, which in my opinion is a good move. It will give shareholders a fair idea to evaluate their interest in the company. Can't wait to see how exactly this turns out.
As per the latest news, NMC is aiming at reducing its share capital. They are doing this with a Buyback programme wherein HSBC will be buying majority of the company's shares, looks like a sane move to me.
HSBC buying shares!! Lol. Post your source
The report seems baseless and void of facts. Given the company's strong fundamentals and managerial depth, am sure they will respond to these reports very soon. Influencing the market based on a gut feeling?? Sick !
