I live in the UAE and have been to a few of their hospitals when it comes to sick leave. I think that their founder fell into the trap of using funded equity instruments to raise capital for other projects and that there are some interesting questions raised by muddy waters report about conflict of interests and related transactions but you see these with a LOT of formerly 'family owned' conglomerates. The one thing muddy waters did get WRONG is in their definition of the disparity in the pricing and cost/sq foot of their hospital in abu dhabi and other properties. They do not seem to understand that abu dhabi is on an island, similar to manhattan, naturally this makes land aquisition costs higher. Also as the capital city of the country, labour costs and building costs and permits are higher. UAE is a federal country so each state has its own licensing and authorities within a federal framework. They did not pay any heed to this.

Agree with you with respect to the cost per square foot. However if they cannot clarify the shareholding issue after so many days and they had to appoint a thirdparty to review the shareholding shows there is total lack of controlFurther according to their financial statements for 2018 they have acquired EMC in Muscat oman for almost 20 million USD, as far as i know EMC is an OP clinic operating out of a small rented premise. Compare that with the acquistion of Atlas hospitals in Oman itself, two full fledged hospitals totalling to 150 beds acquired in the previous year for about 24 million usd only. Looks like the arithametics needs to be worked on..Goodluck investors

The firm has a market cap of $2.73 B and a PE ratio of 13.24. At the current levels, holding and accumulating is the best bet with this share.
