EU will and is about to pump plenty of money into the european semi conductor market to support and strengthen its own local industry and dissolve overdependencies with asian suppliers. This will certainly be positive for Infineon. Although the other way around is also possible, which could also mean, foreign suppliers might think about establishing or building up capacity within europe itself (e.g. TSMC). Either way the demand is huge and for the next at least 2 or even 3 years this will mean more and more growth. Main driver will be e-cars.
And on a side note, a very high demand and considerable supply bottlenecks also usually end up in much higher consolidations and M&A probabilities. If you cant build up capacities quickly enough (it just takes time to build fabs) the only way to grow is to buy up others.
