DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates as an omni-channel sporting goods retailer primarily in the United States. The company provides hardlines, includes sporting goods equipment, fitness equipment, golf equipment, and fishing gear products; apparel; and footwear and accessories. It also owns and operates Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Public Lands, Moosejaw, and Going Going Gone! specialty concept stores; and DICK’S House of Sport and Golf Galaxy Performance Center, as well as GameChanger, a youth sports mobile app for scheduling, communications, live scorekeeping, and video streaming. The company offers its products online, as well as through its mobile apps. The company was formerly known as Dick'S Clothing and Sporting Goods, Inc. and changed its name to DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. in April 1999. Very high short interest, Insane CEO. Misleading earnings reports. Company was doing good when the Stack family was running it. With in a year the current CEO changed the course and had stock price crashing. How hard is it to just buy cheap stuff from china, put it on the store floor and charge people on the way out.
