It also engages in the production of green hydrogen, the operation of hydroelectric power plant, and the sale and maintenance of hydrogen equipment. It also operates industrial gas cylinder filling unit that fill hydrogen and helium cylinders directly from the onset at its Sorel-Tracy site. It serves customers across sectors, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. Charbone Corporation was formerly known as Charbone Hydrogen Corporation and changed its name to Charbone Corporation in June 2026. The company is based in Varennes, Canada.
