Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Services and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO), which rose 3.33% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.620 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 3.06% or 0.62 points to end at 20.90 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) was up 1.90% or 0.080 points to 4.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL), which fell 7.33% or 0.90 points to trade at 11.38 at the close. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 5.22% or 0.380 points to end at 6.900 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was down 3.73% or 0.300 points to 7.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 179 to 155 and 69 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.46% or 18.19 to $1230.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 4.16% or 1.99 to hit $45.83 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 3.98% or 2.02 to trade at $48.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.57% to 3.5551, while EUR/TRY rose 1.41% to 3.9038.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 98.71.
