Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Technology and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which rose 6.39% or 2.22 points to trade at 36.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) added 5.37% or 0.560 points to end at 10.990 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was up 4.31% or 0.33 points to 7.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which fell 7.04% or 0.330 points to trade at 4.360 at the close. Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) declined 5.90% or 0.180 points to end at 2.870 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) was down 5.47% or 0.470 points to 8.130.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 216 to 125 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.37% or 0.560 to 10.990. Shares in Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.31% or 0.33 to 7.98.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.46% or 5.75 to $1254.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.44% or 0.21 to hit $47.76 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.05 to trade at $50.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.6137, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 3.9320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.68% at 98.91.
