Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK), which rose 5.45% or 0.39 points to trade at 7.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) added 4.76% or 0.300 points to end at 6.600 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was up 4.24% or 1.30 points to 31.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Verusa Holding AS (IS:VERUS), which fell 4.12% or 0.71 points to trade at 16.52 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.83% or 0.250 points to end at 6.270 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was down 3.73% or 1.91 points to 49.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 202 to 149 and 57 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.61% or 22.90 to $1398.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.19% or 0.11 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 0.81 to trade at $64.11 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 5.6239, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 6.3088.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 96.938.
