Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Power and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia gained 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Trubnaya Metallurgicheskaya Kompaniya OAO (MCX:TRMK), which rose 5.07% or 4.05 points to trade at 84.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) added 5.05% or 0.1825 points to end at 3.7985 and NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT) was up 4.93% or 29.0 points to 617.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NPK OVK PAO (MCX:UWGN), which fell 6.22% or 50.5 points to trade at 761.5 at the close. Tatneft OAO Pref (MCX:TATN_p) declined 5.25% or 21.80 points to end at 393.50 and Magnit (MCX:MGNT) was down 3.73% or 192.0 points to 4957.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 120 to 96 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.93% or 29.0 to 617.0.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 2.29% to 24.570.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.38% or 5.00 to $1312.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.72% or 1.05 to hit $62.24 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 0.91 to trade at $66.03 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.22% to 57.5833, while EUR/RUB rose 0.09% to 70.7384.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 90.23.
