Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 3.07% or 0.0260 points to trade at 0.8740 at the close. Meanwhile, Montepio (LS:MPIO) added 2.31% or 0.011 points to end at 0.487 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 0.83% or 0.1400 points to 17.0850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP (LS:EDP), which fell 3.69% or 0.1170 points to trade at 3.0560 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 3.04% or 0.1340 points to end at 4.2720 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 2.19% or 0.0210 points to 0.9400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (LS:SEM) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.83% or 0.1400 to 17.0850.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $46.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.45% or 0.20 to hit $44.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.60% or 20.43 to trade at $1255.47 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.64% to 1.1146, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 97.49.
