Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.42% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 8.03% or 8.50 points to trade at 114.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 6.38% or 19.4 points to end at 323.4 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 6.09% or 11.40 points to 198.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 3.60% or 4.00 points to trade at 107.00 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 0.06% or 0.04 points to end at 67.22 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 0.08% or 0.1 points to 198.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 127 to 58 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.60% or 4.00 to 107.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.28% or 1.21 to $54.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.16% or 1.35 to hit $63.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1315.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.7582, while USD/NOK fell 0.03% to 8.6459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 96.812.
