Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA), which rose 1.88% or 0.530 points to trade at 28.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 1.82% or 0.380 points to end at 21.260 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) was up 1.37% or 1.170 points to 86.570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 2.85% or 14.220 points to trade at 484.940 at the close. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) declined 2.50% or 0.78 points to end at 30.45 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was down 2.40% or 0.590 points to 24.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 210 to 69 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.51% or 6.10 to $1197.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.09% or 0.58 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $55.31 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.07% to 20.7719, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 22.2271.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 100.42.
