Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL), which rose 2.82% or 4.180 points to trade at 152.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 1.48% or 3.720 points to end at 254.950 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was up 1.31% or 2.360 points to 182.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which fell 4.26% or 1.390 points to trade at 31.230 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 3.60% or 3.850 points to end at 103.100 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 3.27% or 1.130 points to 33.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 92 to 75 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) rose to all time highs; rising 1.31% or 2.360 to 182.100.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.45 to $1341.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.43% or 1.59 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.21% or 1.53 to trade at $46.12 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.04% to 19.8222, while EUR/MXN rose 1.27% to 22.2655.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.38.
