Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Consumer Staples and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 4.07% or 0.520 points to trade at 13.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) added 3.95% or 2.83 points to end at 74.48 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 3.75% or 1.54 points to 42.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which fell 3.10% or 0.250 points to trade at 7.790 at the close. Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) declined 2.36% or 5.880 points to end at 243.630 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) was down 1.43% or 1.200 points to 82.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 111 to 52 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) rose to all time highs; up 3.75% or 1.54 to 42.30.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.82% or 9.30 to $1146.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 5.64% or 2.61 to hit $48.87 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 5.92% or 2.92 to trade at $52.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.84% to 16.6502, while EUR/MXN fell 0.11% to 18.7710.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.72% at 95.53.
