Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX), which rose 2.60% or 1.250 points to trade at 49.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) added 2.42% or 1.14 points to end at 48.16 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was up 1.20% or 0.350 points to 29.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 5.28% or 0.680 points to trade at 12.200 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 3.35% or 3.570 points to end at 102.910 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) was down 2.66% or 3.50 points to 127.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 149 to 126 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.19% or 2.45 to $1291.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.84% or 0.95 to hit $50.64 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.18% or 1.32 to trade at $59.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.68% to 19.0001, while EUR/MXN fell 0.69% to 21.7888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.197.
