Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which rose 5.26% or 17.10 points to trade at 342.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 3.01% or 13.36 points to end at 456.71 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was up 2.35% or 3.90 points to 169.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO), which fell 1.96% or 1.90 points to trade at 95.06 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 1.55% or 0.630 points to end at 40.000 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was down 1.20% or 0.370 points to 30.470.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 162 to 121 and 4 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.28% or 3.45 to $1254.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.71% or 0.36 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.43 to trade at $53.10 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.25% to 18.6735, while EUR/MXN fell 0.13% to 19.9224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 100.35.
